Mystery Solved: A Vienna Moose Member Visits El Segundo Lodge!

While visiting our daughter out in California recently, we found ourselves driving back on a Saturday from a Dodgers game when a familiar sight caught our eye: the El Segundo Moose Lodge, located not far from her house.

When we walked up, the outdoor area was buzzing with three sets of cornhole boards and some incredibly serious games in progress. We quickly made our way to the social quarters, introduced ourselves as visiting members, and ordered a few cold beers on tap.

Because they had hosted a massive party earlier in the day, the crowd inside was on the smaller side, but the members present were incredibly gracious hosts. They even offered us a commemorative license plate to take home!

The coolest surprise of the visit came from my daughter. Looking around the lodge, she noticed some features and magazines highlighting her very own landlord—who happens to be a well-known local surfer and surfboard shaper. Sure enough, right there on the wall was one of his signed surfboards!

We couldn’t stay long, but my family truly enjoyed the pit stop. It was a fantastic reminder that no matter where you travel across the country, you’re never far from a welcoming Moose community. Best of all? The Moose Lodge is no longer a mystery to my daughter!

Have you visited another Moose Lodge recently? Send any pictures and a short write-up to membership@viennamoose.org. We would love to see what other lodges offer and feature you in our Moose Tracks.
